STATEMENT OF FAITH
The fundamental teachings of this church are reflected in the following statement of faith:
(i) We believe in the plenary verbal inspiration of the accepted canon of the scriptures as originally given. The scriptures are infallible, inerrant and the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct (1.1 Timothy 3:16, 1 Corinthians 2:13).
(ii) We believe in the Eternal God head who has revealed Himself in the trinity as one God existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinguishable but indivisible ( Gen I :26, Mathew 28:19, 1 1 Cor 13:14). All three have expressed themselves separate but at the same time are one (Isaiah 42:1,48:16, Daniel 7:3).
(iii) We believe in the creation story, the test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; His total spiritual depravity and in ability to attain Divine righteousness, (Romans 5:12-18).
(iv) We believe in the lord Jesus Christ, the savior of all men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary. Very God and Very man (Luke 11:26-35, John I :14-18, -Isaiah 7:14, 9:6). His death for our sin was buried and rose again on the third day and personally appeared to His disciples according to the scripture (I Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 4:25). His bodily Ascension into Heaven his exaltation at the right hand of God, his personal, literal bodily coming again the second time for His church, (John 14:2-3,1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
(v) We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace through repentance and faith in the atonement sacrifice of Christ On the cross of Calvary for the remission of sins (Ephesians 2:8-9, Hebrews 9:12-22, Romans 5:11).
(vi) We believe in the water baptism by immersion- in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as a necessarily church ordinance in obedience to the Lords command (Matthew; 28:19, Acts 2:34.- 36, 19:1-6).
(vii) We believe in the baptism of the Holy spirit as a real experience at or subsequent to salvation with the evidence of speaking in other tongues by the spirit utterance and for the purpose of enabling to witness the gospel (Acts 2:148:14-17;10:44-46; Galatians 3:14-15).
(viii) We believe in the operation of the spiritual gifts for the edification of the body of Christ as demonstrated in the early church (1 Cor 12:12-14, Romans 12:6-8, Eph 4: I 1-12).
(ix) We believe in living a sanctified life, separation from that which is evil and dedication to God, a life of holiness led by the power of the Holy spirit (I Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrew-12:14; 1 Peter I:5,15,16; Romans 8:1.2,3 Galatians 2:20: Philipians 2: 12,13)
